GROUP PILATES

SMALL GROUPS OF MAXIMUM 4 PERSONS

Clients with significant physical conditions (e.g. pregnancy) are not allowed to attend group classes
for their own safety and in consideration of others looking for a full body workout.

Group classes require a minimum of 2 participants to carry on. Clients will be notified at least 3 hours before class if class is cancelled.

Foundation/Intermediate

Build a strong Pilates foundation by working on Pilates exercises at the foundation to intermediate level. These classes will work the whole body by focusing on activating the body’s core muscles, coordinating breath with movement, and stretching and strengthening the body. Your instructor will provide guidance, cues and explanations to the exercises performed, helping you build body awareness, and improve posture, alignment, and quality of movement.

If you are new to Pilates and the reformer, we highly recommend that you take a Private Solo class or two before joining our group classes. You will then have a better understanding of Pilates, your own body, and moving on the equipment, helping you  enjoy working out in a small group setting better.

Intermediate

Experience a full body workout as we move more dynamically and hold challenging positions longer. Improve your endurance as we increase the repetitions of the movements and flow from one exercise to the next. Work on more challenging exercises that test your control and balance, building strength in flexibility. In these classes, your instructor will guide you in strengthening your core as well as other parts of the body, increasing overall mobility and improving coordination.

For your safety, our Intermediate classes require that you have a strong Pilates foundation and are familiar with moving on the reformer.

Intermediate/Advanced

Take your Pilates practice to the next level as we flow from movement to movement and work on advanced exercises and variations. These classes will challenge your coordination, balance, body awareness and endurance, and test the limits of your strength, flexibility, and mobility.

For your safety, our Advanced classes require that you have an intermediate level of experience on the Pilates reformer and that you are currently practicing regularly. As the movements may demand a certain level of strength and flexibility, good body awareness is required to know how far to go and when to stop. Feel free to reach out to us if you have questions.

PRIVATE PILATES

SOLO - DUET - TRIO - QUARTET

Solo

Whether it is building strength or increasing flexibility in specific areas of the body, working with physical limitations or conditions, wanting to workout at your own pace and time, or all of the above, your instructor’s undivided attention will be on you to efficiently and effectively guide you towards your goals. With your physical fitness qualities and goals in mind, we will plan and create unique workouts in line with what you need and want, building on the progression from one session to the next.

This is also the best place to begin your Pilates journey, where you learn about your unique body, its strengths and areas that can be improved on, so that you may join and follow a group setting better and gain more out of each class. This is also a great place to take your practice to the next level, working on equipment like the Cadillac, Chair, and Ladder Barrel, performing more advanced exercises that requires your instructor’s personal assistance.

Solo sessions may be held in our private studio or our main studio.

Duet - Trio - Quartet

Having a workout buddy or two (or three!) is a great way to keep each other motivated and increase the chances of sticking to your exercise plans. These sessions combine the best of solo and group classes by allowing us to focus on your common goals and build on the progress of previous sessions while having your best peers challenge and cheer you on throughout. It is important to note that partners in this class should be compatible or at the same level to ensure that everyone benefits from the class & have their expectations met.

Duet sessions may be held in our private studio or our main studio.
Trio and Quartet sessions may be held in our main studio.
