FAQs

What do i wear to class?

We recommend form-fitting workout gear (eg. a fitting top and tights for ladies and a fitting top and shorts over tights for guys) so our instructors can check your form and guide you through your workout better.

Can I attend a class barefooted? Do I have to wear socks or grip socks?

Clients are required to wear grip socks to attend classes at our studio for safety and hygiene reasons. You may purchase grip socks at the studio.

What else do I need to bring along?

Water, a small towel, and an open mind :)

May I use my phone during class?

To avoid unnecessary distractions and the risk of injury to yourself and others, please put your phone on silent mode and out of the way before class begins. If you are expecting an urgent call/text, kindly let your instructor know before class, and when it is time, take it outside the studio and rejoin us after.

You may, of course, take pictures of yourselves and the studio before/after class. If you are uploading it to social media, please tag us at @eastsidepilatessg and #eastsidepilatessg

Do you have changing and showering facilities?

Unfortunately, we do not. However, you may use the mall’s restrooms.

I am pregnant. What are my options?

Talk to us to tailor a workout that is suitable for you and we can arrange for private sessions so that your instructor can give you his/her full attention, spot you and physically assist you throughout your workout. You may not join our group classes at this time for the above reasons and also because group classes are full body workouts that may include exercises that require you to lie down on your belly, on your back for a long time, jump or challenge your balance in ways that are unsafe during pregnancy.

I am injured/recovering from an injury/operation. I have physical conditions/limitations. What are my options?

Talk to us about it and we can discuss what will work best for you — group sessions at the foundation or signature level, or private sessions.

How do I book a class?

  • Bookings can be made through our website or app East Side Pilates.

  • First, create an account with us through the MY ACCOUNT button at the top right hand corner of your computer screen. If you are on your phone, the MY ACCOUNT button will be at the bottom of the list once you click the + sign at the top right hand corner of your screen.

  • After you’ve completed that, go to PRICING and purchase a package of your choice.

  • Once you have a class package, click on SCHEDULE and book yourself into a class. Our booking window opens 2 weeks before the day of the class at 9am. Spots are first come first served. If it is full, please add yourself to the waitlist as it often moves quickly.

  • If you are interested in private sessions, please contact us for instructor and studio availability.

I would like to purchase something in-studio. What payment options are available?

We accept PAYNOW and exact cash.

I can no longer attend a class I’ve previously booked due to a change in my schedule or for other reasons. How do I cancel a class and is there a penalty?

Login to your account, navigate to MY CLASSES, and cancel the class that you are no longer able to attend. Our cancellation policy is 12 hours. This means that there is no penalty if you cancel 12 hours or more before the class starts. If you cancel within 12 hours of the class’ start time or do not show up, a class credit will be deducted from your account.

(For group classes) I’ve added myself to the waitlist. What must I take note of?

The waitlist is active up until 1 hour before the class. If a spot becomes available and you are at the top of the waitlist, you will automatically be enrolled into the class. Our 12-hour cancellation policy applies, so if you are unsure if you can attend the class, please remove yourself from the waitlist at least 12 hours before the class.

The waitlist is deactivated 1 hour before the class. This means that any spot that becomes available after that is first come first served.

(For group classes) I am late for class. May I still join in?

We ask that everyone arrives 5 minutes before class to facilitate setting up your reformer/tower and for class to start on time with everyone present. This is to avoid any unnecessary distractions and to prevent injury to yourself or to others.

May I arrive earlier than 5 minutes before class or stay on after class?

We run back to back classes and ask that clients only enter the studio once the attendees of the previous class have exited the studio. Once the class has ended, please leave the studio promptly. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please contact us if you have further questions :)
